If you are like me, you love to bake. I love to make cookies, cupcakes, cake, and pies.  For me, it is important to make sure I understand the science of baking. I donโ€™t like it when I mess one little thing up. It just irritates me.  So, I am going to share with you some important baking tips!

Tip #1: Make sure to read the recipe before baking

No matter how much you have baked in the past, this is important. By reading the recipe before starting, it helps give you a sense of what is going to happen. I like to do this because it helps me to mentally prepare for what I will be doing. It also helps me to make sure I donโ€™t make a mistake.

Tip #2: Be sure to follow the recipe

Not only should you be sure to read the recipe before starting, but it is also equally important to follow the recipe.  It is there for a reason!

Tip #3: Prepare your ingredients and baking supplies

You want to make sure that you have everything you need BEFORE you start. It is not fun when you are baking and halfway through realize that you forgot something. I have done that plenty of times.

Tip #4: Use Room Temperature Ingredients

Check the recipe to see if some ingredients must be room temperature. Using cold ingredients, you will sometimes have trouble combining them.

Tip #5: Donโ€™t Forget to Grease the Pan

Be sure to grease your pan! Even better, use parchment paper. It is not fun when you go to remove what you baked, and it wonโ€™t budge!
